Taking a trip that has multiple logistical aspects? Need to get from city to city or country to country but don't know the best (or cheapest) way how? Well then we're going to introduce you to your new best friend: Rome2Rio !

Rome2Rio is a web and phone based app that allows you to put in any 2 destinations in the world and it quickly spits out the best way to get from place A to place B. The algorithm will highlight the Fastest route, Cheapest route, Recommended route and alternatives in between including land, air, boat and bus travel.

Even prior to this year-long adventure, we have always taken trips that include moving around from place to place (we're not the best "lay on a beach without moving" travelers - but to each their own!), and prior to Rome2Rio we would spend hours Googling to try and figure out the best way to get from place to place. This app has literally saved our lives....semi exaggeration but at least it's saved us a ton of time and money which are two very important things.

To take an example, during our recent 3-week trip in Mexico, we needed to figure out the best way to get from Puebla to San Miguel de Allende which is about 5 hours north but not easily accessible by plane. So we plugged it into Rome2Rio...

...and out come the quick results. Although it's not the fastest or cheapest route, Rome2Rio recommended taking a Bus because it generally is the easiest way to get around central Mexico, without being too expensive. Now the question is, of the dozens of bus lines you can take, which service this route?

When you click "See Details" Rome2Rio gives you all the potential operators that service your route with pricing and duration. You can easily navigate to their website straight from here and book your ticket! Which is exactly what we did on Futura Select - and as a side note - we highly recommend using them if you're traveling throughout Mexico. The bus was huge and comfortable and everything went off without a hitch.

So there you go! This is how we save hours researching travel logistics. Hope it helps you! Let us know if it does :)
